As the Conference Center Leader at Titaan, Unknown Campus, you will be pivotal in transforming our conference center into a vibrant hub of daily events and activities. This role demands a visionary leader who not only manages the financials but also ensures that the center embodies the dynamic spirit of innovation that Titaan is known for. You will lead a team dedicated to creating an inspiring environment through strategic development and operational excellence.

Our mission is to ‘fuel founders to fix the future’, by building Europe's #1 Impact Campus. Unknown Campus is a dynamic hub where impact-driven founders create real-world solutions, connect, and grow together. At the heart of Unknown Unknown Campus is a 13.000 m2 building Titaan with offices and makerspaces for impact companies, a thriving community and the Unknown University of Applied Sciences. We are also home to a vibrant Conference Centre, hosting events for up to 1,000 attendees.

For our Conference Centre in the building Titaan, we are searching for a commercially driven Conference Centre leader.

Key Responsibilities

• Profit and Loss (P/L) Responsibility: Oversee the financial operations of the conference center, ensuring profitability through effective budget management and revenue optimization.

• Team Leadership: Lead and motivate the events team, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment to achieve operational excellence.

• Conference Center Development: Spearhead the development of the conference center, enhancing its look, feel, and technological capabilities to ensure it meets the evolving needs of our community.

• Sales and Partnerships: Drive sales and develop strategic partnerships within the region, collaborating with event managers to expand our reach and enhance our offerings.

• Operational Excellence and Quality Control: Supervise and ensure the high-quality execution of events, maintaining operational standards that reflect the prestige of Unknown Campus.

• Supplier and Inventory Management: Manage relationships with suppliers and oversee the inventory of event materials and resources, including coordination of external temporary staff to support event needs.

• Knows the ropes of event spaces or hotels and has a solid track record of managing teams and operations smoothly. You should be comfortable running the show and making sure everything meets our high standards.

• Has local connections in The Hague or South Holland event scene and is great at making deals and forming lasting partnerships.

• Brings hospitality to the table: If you’ve got experience in hospitality, especially with events and banqueting, and always pay attention to the little things, you’re the kind of person we need.

• Can roll with the punches: We need someone who’s flexible with their hours, ready to tackle challenges head-on, and eager to help out the team to get things done.

• Is a people person: You should be easy to talk to, good at building relationships, and able to keep cool and connect with people from all walks of life.
